Pie Dough

Ingredients
Yield: Enough for 2 pies
  • 6 C AP Flour
  • 1 t Salt
  • 3/4 C Butter, unsalted
  • 1/2 C Shortening
  • 1-1/2 C Ice water

Method:

Whisk the flour and salt together.  Work in the butter and shortening with your hands.  Pour in the ice water and mix the dough until it comes together.  Make sure you let it rest 1 hour or up to 2 days.
